Sirius Labs
Problem
I’ve been working with the CEO of SiriusLabs, Aderinsola Akintilo, on content design and strategy for his websites and various business projects. One business challenge that we worked on together, was creating a document that he and his team could send to prospective clients.
They’d had numerous experiences where businesses looking for services, didn’t fully understand the scope and cost of the projects they had in mind. This resulted in a lot of time and resources being spent on proposals and briefs that never came to fruition.
It was decided that the best course of action was to set expectations from the beginning, in order to communicate needs and expectations of both parties.
Solution
Aderinsola sent me a PDF with the things he wanted to convey to his clients, including questions, links, and contact info. I threw it into Sketch, and cleaned it up by reducing the word count, rephrasing the questions and explanations, and creating hyper-links.
So far, it has reduced the number of clients looking for proposals who don’t have the ability to commit, which in turn has given the team more time to spend on serious clients.
